Day-88 Completing Random Quote Machine with React. ||#100DaysOfCode

September 15, 2020

Hey Fam, I hope y’all are doing good. If you want to connect with me then search for the username @fabcodingzest on any platform like Twitter, GitHub and you’ll find me.

So I completed the first freecodecamp project for front-end libraries finally. As you guys know I started working on a random quote machine yesterday but was not able to finish it so I finally completed it today. Just used one React component because there wasn’t much that was needed to be done, I would have used SCSS but I didn’t feel the need just for a variable that I can do easily with simple CSS. Code Sandbox is a great tool and that’s what I used to work on this project although to submit it on freecodecamp I copied the code to codepen and submitted it. It works exactly like the way I wanted and you can share the quote on twitter as well.

I learned about encodeURIComponent and encodedURI today to make the twitter link work, I was surprised as I didn’t know this before but I learned so that’s what matters. I have some weak points still with JavaScript like I forget how to use fetch and Axios but it’s nothing I can’t google in a minute and make it right. I might do a problem on hackerrank but right now my energy is low as its 15 to 1 a.m. so I’m not really sure but I’ll solve a problem first tomorrow(today) and will move onto the second project afterward.

The second project is to build Markdown Previewer for which we have to use a library, can’t wait to do the project.

If you are reading my stupid blogs then just know, I appreciate you a lot💙.

Bye
