Day-2 Working with Tailwind and fixing some bugs. ||#100daysOfCode

June 04, 2020

Hey Fam, I hope y’all are doing good today. I am excited to share about my day with y’all so yeah let’s get started.

I woke up fairly late today at 10:45 a.m or something and filled some form online which I saw on twitter because why miss any opportunity because you think you can’t do it? I always take up on opportunities even if it feels like I am not good enough, I can make things work later duhhh. About this form, I’ll tell you about it in the future if I receive any good news till then I’ll wait.

My day started fairly late after 3 p.m. when I corrected some mistakes in Day-1 blog of #100DaysOfCode. Afterward, I started working on the notes app project which I planned to build with vanilla JavaScript and use Firebase for authentication. I planned it weeks before but I was busy with FreeCodeCamp projects of Responsive Web Design Certificate and my temporary portfolio and that’s how the month of May went. So now my main focus is to build this Fab Notes App to practice my existing JavaScript skills.

Although I was feeling a little exhausted so I took a nap to make my mind function properly. When I started working on the notes app whose tailwind set up I worked on yesterday, I encountered a brand new bug in the console which was saying “Refusing to apply styles due to MIME type (“text/html”)”. I googled this for an hour and way a step away from making a mess of my already existing workflow but I noticed I linked CSS manually to template.html file although I have webpack doing it for me already. So after hours I removed this link and finally the bug was solved but it took a lot of time to find that stupid bug ( what is life ? ).

By the time I did that it was evening and it was time to pray and have some food XD. While having food I teared up because of the news of the pregnant elephant who died because of eating firecrackers stuffed pineapple. I just can’t imagine what she went through just because she trusted some humans. Firecrackers damaged her jaw while she went towards the river without destroying anything even though she was in pain, she kept standing in the river thinking it would ease her pain but sadly it didn’t and she died with her child in her womb while standing in the river. I literally cried for her as I just couldn’t imagine how painful it was for her while bearing a kid.

After mourning for the elephant, I started working on the notes app. I made basic navigation for mobile and got the menu toggle working with JavaScript. I am going to keep the UI really simple for this app as my main aim is to practice JavaScript and learn to use Firebase for database and authentication. I will be working on notes project for a couple of weeks so stay tuned!

Stay tuned

This was it for my day. Thank you so much for reading my blog, I truly appreciate 💙.
