Day-18 Working on Vanilla JavaScript Todo App and revising React . ||#100daysOfCode

June 20, 2020

Hey Fam, I hope y’all are doing good. If you want to connect with me then search for the username @fabcodingzest on any platform like Instagram, Twitter, GitHub and you’ll find me.

Let me ask this question first although I hardly believe anyone will care but shall I post these blogs on other sites too like Dev.to? Or maybe I can just extract what I learned and create blogs for it specifically. What do you think? You know where to find me right.

The day was nice as I first worked on Todo App with Tailwind and gosh I had to search every single property from docs but I guess it’s good that we don’t have to worry about CSS that much. I still prefer CSS with SCSS but let’s see if tailwind can change my opinion as I am always open to changes XD.

Continued diving into React, this time with Colt Steele who happens to be my favorite online teacher. I learned React for the first time from him only. Kent taught well no doubt but he taught fundamentals only I need to get familiar with how to work with React with create-react-app etc and Colt’s React YouTube course seems to be good for it. I will watch a couple of more tutorials for React projects and start building on Monday with some small projects like a todo app or something.

Keep going!

My TED Talk about toxic 24x7 productivity

I often used to beat myself up for not being productive sometimes but I’ve learned that sometimes it’s okay to not be productive and just enjoy the thing you are doing or relaxing time you are having. It’s not wasting time but taking care of yourself as you are not a robot stupid, and it’s common to have breaks for humans. So it’s alright if you are not feeling like doing something at the moment, just take a break and do something else you like or just take a nap to refresh your mind. Also, you can skip couple of days if you feel like staying away from the computer for a while, trust me you’ll come back stronger and for God’s sake don’t feel guilty for it.

Your self-worth is not measured by your productivity, sometimes just breathing and existing is enough. ~ Fab

Don’t let any internet guru make you feel like if you are not working 24x7 then you are not doing anything, those are just bullshit things. As a human rest and break is as important as working hard but while being smart too okay (someone said I am not smart today jk he was just a KID). Enjoy life and everything it has to offer you, work doesn’t have to be crazy.

Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk

I am going to write one or more things I am proud of doing today or feel grateful for (you should try it too) so here it goes,

  • I am proud of myself for working out even for 15 minutes
  • I feel grateful for being able to eat my mum’s made food
  • I am forever grateful to Allah(God) for blessing me with such supporting and lovely parents

Thank you so much for reading this, I appreciate you 💙.

Bye
